Building Energy Efficiency Services

When you want to lower a building’s overhead or carbon footprint, looking at energy usage is a great place to start. Energy usage is by far the largest controllable operating cost for most buildings.

With retro commissioning, your building can reach optimal energy efficiency while still providing improved indoor air quality at a lower cost.

With Therma’s Energy Services, we can help you develop and implement a framework that sees how much energy your building needs and how much is being used. Once the commissioning shows what you do and don’t need, you’ll be able to make informed decisions about processes and equipment that can save you money and energy.

Integrated Efficiency Solutions, Three Step Process

On every project, Therma’s experienced technicians start by determining the health of your building. We do this through a time-tested three step process.

First, we conduct a survey to assess your energy footprint and HVAC efficiency. This is then compared to comparable buildings to determine your starting point.

Second, Therma’s skilled team performs an on-site evaluation and complete technical review that includes everything from a review of floor plans and energy bills to monitoring indoor temperatures, humidity and CO2 levels. We also inspect lighting and identify sources of heat loss.

Finally, during phase three, we continue to analyze the health of your building and continually adapt and improve your benchmarks.

Energy isn’t cheap in California, but with this energy services process, we are able deliver reduced costs, a lower carbon footprint, and continual improvement to every client.

LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an established and highly-regarded building rating system that provides a framework for healthy and energy-efficient green buildings. This certification is globally recognized as a symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership.

LEED requires commissioning on all new constructions and recommissioning for existing buildings. Our retro commissioning and recommissioning services are just two of the many steps Therma takes to help our clients achieve LEED certification.
