Hydro & vacuum excavation is a non-mechanical, non-destructive process that uses pressurized water and industrial strength vacuum to simultaneously excavate and evacuate soil. As hydro excavation safely breaks up soil, the soil and water slurry is conveyed by vacuum to a debris tank. This is a great method for excavating under the concrete slab of your building to repair failed piping in lieu of cutting structural concrete. #concrete #buildings #pressure #soil #vacuum #structures #excavation

Last week, Therma welcomed San Jose City College's HVAC class for an introduction to the industry. Tim Jones, our head of HVAC Service, and Mark Goupil, our head of HVAC Operations, gave a presentation on the wide variety of work mechanical contractors do. Then we took the students on a tour of our prefab shop so they could see it all first hand. We are excited to inspire the next generation of workers.

With our CO2 and fiber lasers, we can cut any depth into material from complete penetration to surface scribing. One of the most useful functions of the laser is scribing guides for our skilled welders to quickly fit up and weld joints, like you see here. This eliminates the need to manually fit up the adjoining material, which saves time and improves accuracy. #fiberlasers #scribe #welding
For decades, filtration, ventilation and humidity control have served as the foundation of an efficacious commercial indoor air quality (IAQ) program. However, none of these strategies can effectively contain biological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi. Learn more about how to improve your indoor air quality with UV lighting.

Sustainable development represents a necessary ideal of the modern world: how do we continue the trajectory of continuous socio-economic growth without depleting or damaging the resources that allow us to do so? In order to achieve sustainable development it is of course necessary to design for sustainability.

Comprehensive HVAC maintenance can help lower energy costs, eliminate expensive repairs, reduce downtime and extend the life of heating and cooling systems.
In fact, the Building Efficiency Initiative reports that regular maintenance can lower HVAC energy costs by 5 to 40 percent, depending on the equipment and structural efficiency characteristics of the building.
