Therma has been sponsoring Kids Bike Lane (KBL) for over a decade. KBL is a non-profit organization that partners with charities, shelters, police departments, and schools to provide new bikes and helmets for under-served youth in the Bay Area. This year, 35 Therma employees and their families joined over 200 other volunteers to build 700 bikes that were donated to charities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. In addition to the bike build event,
KBL also hosts 2 free bike repair clinics each year.
They are currently collecting bikes to bring to the victims of the Camp fire disaster in Northern California. If you'd like to donate to their cause or learn more about their mission, check out their website.

After 21 years of hard work with Therma, Paul O'Farrell kicked off his retirement with some of his closest friends and coworkers yesterday. He's the kind of guy you can always count on to get the job done, and the kind of friend everyone here will miss. He was one of the best detailers around and his retirement is well deserved. Thank you Paul for all of your hard work, leadership, and professionalism; and don't forget to come by say and hello once in a while.

Variable-speed technology has become an essential component in the effort to improve HVAC equipment efficiency. The term “variable-speed” applies to two different components in an air conditioning or heat pump system: the blower motor and the compressor. A variable-speed blower can be matched with a single-speed compressor, but a variable-speed compressor must always be paired with an adjustable-speed blower.
