Industry leaders, facility managers, and engineers are always looking for ways to improve efficiencies at their facilities. An industrial or commercial chiller continues to be a well-thought-out alternative to cooling process fluids or dehumidifying air in an industrial or commercial setting. But it's not always the best option.

After 36 years of friendship, leadership, and hard work, Larry Torres has begun his well-earned retirement. His impact at Therma is pretty obvious when you look at the number of coworkers who drove in from around the bay area to be there for his retirement party. This week we said a heartfelt goodbye to our sheet metal superintendent, Mike Nesbitt. Mike's taking a position in the union and they're lucky to have him join their team. He's the kind of guy you can count on to get the job done, make sure everyone involved is taken care of, AND he'd BBQ with you on the weekends.
Therma EVP of Fabrication, Scott Carstairs remarked, "Mike is a top of the class individual. He approached his position as Superintendent with honor and integrity, always had his mind on the team and the business at hand. He will be missed." Erik Kramar, a Therma foreman, said, "It's been an honor and privilege working for and with Nezzy for the last 22 years."

Last week we proudly handed Brett Merritt a plaque of appreciation to officially kick off his very well-deserved retirement. Brett has given Therma 25 years of hard work and leadership in our sheetmetal department and will surely be missed. We couldn't be happier for you Brett. You've earned it!
“It’s not often that the employer AND the customer share the same sense of irreplaceability. When the term “franchise player” is considered, the name Brett Merritt should be in the discussion.” ~ Fred Mulgrew
“No matter how stressful the situation was, when you looked at Brett he always stayed calm and cool.” ~ Mike Nesbitt

On the last Tuesday of every month, Therma hosts a happy hour workshop in San Jose at our HQ. This month's topic was presented by our Test, Adjust, & Air Balance department. The discussion centered on common problems during construction and how communication during pre-con between our engineers and the TAB team can prevent them. All topics for our happy hour workshops are chosen by our employees based on their areas of interest.
