  • Have a controls and risk-based mind set while executing daily, monthly, quarterly tasks



  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile and balance general ledger accounts, research and correct posting discrepancies and provide accounting support for our internal customers.
  • Review and verify accuracy of journal entries, cost allocations and accounting classifications assigned to various records when performing financial variance reviews or flux analysis.
  • Prepare reconciliations of monthly Work In Process reports. Actively participates and supports forecast review of projects. Actively monitors over/under as well as cash position by job in order to identify issues.
  • For high risk jobs, continuously reviews actual results and EAC estimates to original estimates to identify those jobs requiring additional review. Conducts formal project reconciliations with Project Managers as needed.
  • Assist in completion of various accounting and finance ad hoc projects as requested by management.
  • Maintain a positive, results orientated work environment through collaboration and communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner.
  • Compiles and reconciles information related to projects for our external auditor as required
  • Aid in the implementation of new ERP and additional software tools to modernize and scale the business
  • Continually improve business processes through automation, thoughtful analysis, and researching best practices in the industry
  • Ensure team/department objectives are met, completely and accurately, regarding deadlines, controls, documentation
  • Support business initiatives and guide financial decisions with strong processes, internal controls and policies
  • Ensure stewardship of company assets by reviewing the business for potential financial risks and determine means to mitigate the potential risks



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years experience progressive accounting experience. Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant desired
  • Well-developed financial analysis capabilities to support reporting and Company objectives.
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines; ability to adapt to change.
  • Proven ability to quality deliver results in high stress situations.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
  • Problem solver with excellent follow-up and customer service skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills including the ability to develop relationships.
  • Demonstrated success developing team using strong leadership and talent development strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with HP 3000, IFS or OneStream a plus.
  • Positive attitude, good judgment and strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
